Keep Calm Craft On - My First Hat
DPNs.
Magic loop.
Either one is necessary to make smaller items. Both scared the daylights out of me! I had tried magic loop way back when I was pregnant with Raspberry and failed miserably. The fixed circular needles I was using did not have a very bendable cable. So until I got better needles, no in-the-round hats, gloves, or sweaters would be made.

These beauties were a gift from The Celt. He's such an amazing man! Okay, enough mush. Moving on...
The cables are super bendable which make them perfect for the magic loop method. A new love was born, y'all. I love magic loop!
I wish I were better at taking pictures, but that is one skill I just do not have in me. This beret is also my first cable knitting project. I've make a few mistakes, but none that would cause me to frog the project. I'm loving learning new things! For this project alone, I have learned how to increase, cable knit, and correctly do the magic loop method. I feel as though I could take on the world!!
Okay, maybe not the world. How about a yarn store? ;)
I'm linking up with Nicole over at Frontier Dreams today. Head on over and check out all of the wonderful work and inspiration!

Knitting is just two stitches - a knit and purl. Once you know that, you can do anything! Plus, if you get stumped you can always call me... lol. Love the color you chose and I can't wait to see it all done.
