Seven Quick Takes Late Friday

1.
After an awesome Thanksgiving filled with an amazing grilled turkey - I curled up in my bed and fell fast asleep. Sometime around 3am-ish - I half woke, started a roll/stretch maneuver, and pulled a neck muscle...a few days before our big move. AWESOME.

2.
My amazing mother-in-law saved me today by coming over and watching Monster and Raspberry while I sat ever so motionless in a chair. Have I mentioned I have a problem sitting still?

Well - I do.

My aforementioned amazing mother-in-law bathed my kiddos, washed Raspberry's diapers, folded laundry, washed laundry, unloaded and ran the dishwasher, and picked up the general post-Thanksgiving messiness.

I won the in-law lottery folks.

3.
The Celt and one of his brothers were out at our farm today running fence for the livestock. The former owners were finishing up their move today as well. Now we just need to dispatch of their junk littered throughout the house and clean it prior to moving us in. T minus one week till the move.

*gulp*

4.
Are you ready for this?

I don't think you're ready for this...

Raspberry walks. Like 50% of the time all day today. She is 10 months old today. It feels like she shouldn't be doing this already!

5.
I did not go Black Friday shopping. Wanna know why? No. It had nothing to do with my 3am neck muscle pull. I think Molly sums it up nicely. Check out this post she wrote titled The Shadow of Thankfulness

6.
My little Monster knows all of his ABC's. There is not one we point to that he doesn't know. Tonight,  he was drawing on his aqua doodle pad. Suddenly - he stopped and said "I drew an L!" We looked down and sure enough he did. Then he made an 'O' followed by several more. He kept saying, "I make 'O's'! I think those are his favorite to draw. I'm so stunned by everything that child is learning and at the rate his is learning it all!

7.
I have resigned myself to the fact that I will be a crazy cat lady when I grow old. A crazy cat lady who knits lots and lots.

Speaking of knitting. I found Raspberry's Christmas present for next year (always planning ahead). Check out this doll! I'm so making that for her next year! This year it would be tossed aside for more interesting things like boxes and wrapping paper.
